NOC Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ OR Swanzey NH Office Locations | Reports to: Supervisor of RMM Operations

About the Role:

Visory is seeking a NOC Technician to monitor and manage alerts generated through our systems management and monitoring platforms. In this role, you will serve as a frontline responder to infrastructure and endpoint alerts, performing Tier 1 troubleshooting and ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues. You will monitor client network environments, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, servers, and endpoints, while maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication with clients and internal teams.

What You Will Be DOING:

  • Monitoring & Alert Response: Monitor and respond to alerts and tickets generated by remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms and related systems.
  • Patching & Systems Maintenance: Manage operating system and application patching activities in accordance with established procedures and workflows.
  • Environment Monitoring: Monitor client environments including endpoints, servers, and managed network devices such as firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Tier 1 Troubleshooting & Escalation: Perform initial troubleshooting and remediation within defined Tier 1 scope; escalate network-related issues to Tier 2 Network Administrators and systems management platform issues to Senior NOC Technicians.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate, timely documentation within tickets and incidents; communicate status updates and recurring issues to leadership as required.
  • Operational Support: Assist with other operational initiatives and projects as assigned, while adhering to company policies, standards, and procedures.

What You Will NEED:

  • RMM & Monitoring Tools: Ability to use remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms to monitor endpoints, servers, and infrastructure health. Familiarity with NOC dashboards, alert queues, and event notifications.
  • Ticketing & Documentation: Experience working within ticketing systems to manage alert-driven incidents and service requests, with strong documentation practices.
  • Remote Support Skills: Basic proficiency with remote access tools for validation and first-level remediation.
  • Patching & Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of operating system patching workflows and patch status reporting.
  • Network Device Awareness: Familiarity with monitoring firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and other managed network devices for availability and status.
  • Education: Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience or training.
