Primary Purpose
Lead and oversee night shift operations in the thigh debone department, ensuring smooth execution of production goals while aligning people, processes, and resources to meet standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role is critical in driving performance with Foodmate automated deboning equipment.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure correct staffing levels nightly to meet production demand and fulfill customer orders.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee Foodmate thigh debone lines, ensuring SOPs and Good Production Practices (GPPs) are followed consistently.
- Quality & Food Safety: Monitor product quality and packaging specifications, implement corrective actions for defects, and uphold USDA and HACCP standards.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed department KPIs including BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A Grade %.
- Compliance & Training: Enforce HR and Safety policies, manage Kronos and Oracle HCM requests, and ensure timely completion of safety certifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize Foodmate automation performance and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, or Business preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience (poultry or food manufacturing strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Foodmate thigh debone automation highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and USDA sanitation/pre-op guidelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
