Overnight Caregiver (Night Shift)

Inspired Assisted Living Walnut Creek is a licensed 6-bed assisted living home that provides compassionate, personalized care in a calm, family-style setting. We focus on quality care, strong relationships, and creating a supportive workplace for our caregivers.

As an Overnight Caregiver, you will help keep our residents safe, comfortable, and supported during nighttime hours. This role is ideal for someone who is calm, reliable, and attentive.

Shifts are typically 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Hourly Base Salary Based on Experience

Hands on Training

Paid Sick Time (5 Days)

Responsibilities

Resident Care & Safety

• Check on residents regularly throughout the night
• Respond to call lights, alarms, or resident needs
• Help with toileting, incontinence care, and repositioning
• Support residents who may feel anxious, confused, or wake up during the night

Documentation

• Accurately document care provided and any overnight observations

Light Housekeeping

• Laundry and light cleaning
• Tidy common areas and prepare the home for the morning shift

Emergency Readiness

• Stay alert and ready to respond to emergencies
• Follow RCFE safety and emergency procedures

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background check, TB test, and physical
• CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Reliable overnight availability
• Able to assist residents and lift up to 50 lbs when needed

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Overnight caregiving or dementia care experience
• Familiarity with assisted living or RCFE settings
• Comfortable with written documentation
