Network Engineering Specialist

Bishop & Company is seeking a Network Engineering Specialist to support, maintain, and enhance secure network environments for our client. This role blends hands-on technical execution with security-focused planning and operational support. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, collaborating across teams, and working within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure
• Contribute to network design efforts with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security
• Implement and monitor network security controls in alignment with established technical standards
• Provide technical support for escalated network-related issues
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen performance and security posture
• Conduct system reviews to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and security requirements
• Assist in the development and upkeep of technical documentation, operating procedures, and security-related plans
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders responsible for organizational security and compliance
• Perform vulnerability checks and configuration validations using approved frameworks and guidelines
• Support additional technical or operational tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in an IT-related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting or administering networked environments
• Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux-based systems
• Foundational understanding of network administration principles and best practices
• Experience with network troubleshooting, performance optimization, and security fundamentals
• Ability to interpret and apply organizational and regulatory security requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $80-95K annually. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
