Job Details
Title: Network Engineer
Work Arrangement: Remote (Eligible states: AK, AZ, FL, GA, NC, SC, OK, TN, TX, MO, VA)
On-Call: Participation in after-hours rotation required
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, implement, and support network architectures in a Fortinet-focused environment
- Provision new customer services within a service provider network
- Maintain network availability, uptime, and performance
- Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate with third-party vendors
- Develop automation and scripting to improve provisioning and operational efficiency
- Create technical documentation for internal teams and customers
- Serve as a technical resource for sales and customer-facing teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a carrier-grade or MSP network environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or related tools)
- Experience with routing and networking technologies including:
•OSPF
•BGP
•MPLS
•QoS
•Multicast
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking and Metro Ethernet environments
Preferred
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) or other Fortinet certifications
- Experience with network automation or scripting
- Familiarity with Linux or network security platforms
