Based in IL, we are a fast-growing building materials company looking for an experienced Regional / Territory Sales Manager to come join us. This is an exciting opportunity to work existing clients while expanding on those relationships and developing new ones. We offer an excellent, well-known product and reputation in the industry, and our Sales team has uncapped commission on top of a strong base salary.

Job Details:
As our NE Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all sales operations within the region in the Building Materials industry. You will be at the forefront of driving business growth, fostering client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who has a passion for business development, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned region.
2. Achieve sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
3. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
4. Conduct regular sales reviews and performance checks with the sales team.
5. Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
6. Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
7. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
9. Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
10. Use your 'hunter' mentality to prospect and secure new clients.
11. Utilize territory management skills to ensure maximum market penetration.
12. Conduct regular cold calling to generate leads and convert them into fruitful business opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Proven work experience of 5+ years as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
3. Proven experience in prospecting and territory management.
4. Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
5. Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels within an organization.
7. Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, outside sales, and account management.
8. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field (desired, not required)
11. Ability to travel up to 75% in NE territory (some driveable, heavy travel).
