Job Summary:
The St. Louis Cardinals are seeking candidates for the Museum and Tour Supervisor position. Duties will include supervising Tour Guides and Guest Services Representatives on a daily basis, working with the Manager of Tours in executing a daily action plan for staff, working with group leaders to remedy any unexpected issues upon arrival, assisting Tour Guides with safe entry/exit of guests, resolving customer service concerns and providing top-notch customer service
Job Duties:
- Supervise part-time staff at Cardinals Museum or Busch Stadium Tours to effectively manage each operation for efficient operations, good customer service and revenue-generating opportunities
- Resolve customer issues and concerns to support frontline personnel while providing authority and direction in resolving customer concerns
- Facilitate cash control/handling protocols by signing-out cash to Guest Service Representatives, reconciling point-of-sale cash drawers, and preparing deposits daily
- Provide extra help/security in protecting guests and club assets from abnormal situations by communicating such situations to necessary staff for guest safety; monitor flow of guests and safety of team assets
Education and Experience Preferred:
- 2+ years of college experience in hospitality/tourism, business, public relations or related field plus 2-3 years supervisory experience in a museum, customer service or retail setting
- Experience supervising frontline staff in a museum/attraction setting, experience with cash control protocols, experience in evaluating staff performance and efficiency
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Feel comfortable working with a computerized point-of-sale system (experience with ticket systems a plus)
- Understand cash-handling procedures including start-up and EOD reconciliation
- Ability to stand on feet and walk comfortably for long periods of time
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma/GED plus 1-2 years supervisory experience in a museum, customer service or retail setting
- Supervisory experience working in a professional setting (museum experience a plus)
- Good communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Feel comfortable working with a computerized point-of-sale system (experience with ticket systems a plus)
- Understand cash-handling procedures including start-up and EOD reconciliation
- Ability to stand on feet and walk comfortably for long periods of time
