Multi‑Axis CAM Programmer & CNC Process Specialist
MAU Workforce Solutions
Greenville, SC
A day on first shift
You arrive on the first shift ready to turn complex prints into clean, efficient toolpaths. You’ll generate multi‑axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM programs in NX‑CAM, verify them in Vericut before release, and head to the floor to support operators and manufacturing engineers as new or rebuilt machines come online. Between shop visits, you’ll update workstation methods, refine tooling and fixturing, and kick off process improvements that lift safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain CNC programs using NX‑CAM (or comparable CAM), spanning multi‑axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
- Validate all new CNC programs with Vericut prior to floor release.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering; train operators during new/rebuilt machine start‑ups and when rolling out process changes.
- Provide daily programming and troubleshooting support to operators on the shop floor.
- Define, implement, and support tooling and fixturing strategies for CNC equipment.
- Author and maintain workstation instructions/methods for CNC operations.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects targeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teammates in a matrixed environment.
- Thrive individually and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting, driving constructive change.
