Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular/Radiologic Technologist I is an entry-level role responsible for developing core competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology under supervision. The position supports physicians in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patients across adult and pediatric populations in inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and outreach settings, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care under supervision across multiple care settings.
- Prepare patients for procedures, correlating clinical history with physician orders.
- Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews, ensuring documentation accuracy and technical quality.
- Transfer imaging data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level equipment checks, cleaning, and disinfection per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited cardiovascular program or JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
- Core knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical imaging principles, and terminology.
- Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and demonstrate sensitivity to patient needs.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, and discretion handling confidential information.
- Initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently under supervision.
- Proficiency in applying core-level specialty theory, practices, and techniques.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and professional patient care.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- MRI Certification (must be achieved within 12 months of hire).
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Operate imaging equipment accurately and effectively.
