Summary:

The Medical Materiel Manager/Planner Allowance-Standard Manager (MRA Allowance Standard Manager) provides expert-level oversight, planning, analysis, and management of medical materiel requirements across enterprise-level medical logistics operations. This position supports modernization, deployment, and employment readiness by developing and sustaining Allowance Standards (AS), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), and medical equipment and supply programs for military healthcare facilities and mission operations. The role requires a working knowledge of Air Force medical planning systems and MRA/Pilot Unit processes, and active participation in technical meetings as required.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide expert oversight and management of Allowance Standards (AS) supporting medical logistics requirements across the enterprise
  • Conduct Allowance Standard analysis for modernization, deployment, and employment planning to ensure accurate and mission-aligned materiel postures
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP) for medical materiel and equipment programs
  • Perform materiel sourcing and support procurement and sustainment efforts for medical equipment, supplies, and related programs
  • Analyze materiel requirements and translate findings into funding projections, budget submissions, transition plans, and long-range sustainment strategies
  • Coordinate with internal and external organizations and offices to organize enterprise-level planning processes and integrate requirements
  • Provide day-to-day support to military healthcare facilities regarding medical materiel readiness, equipment planning, sustainment, and allowance implementation
  • Utilize Air Force medical planning systems, National Stock Number (NSN)/Item Management systems, medical supply chain tools, and acquisition processes to execute requirements efficiently
  • Support doctrine development, training, standardization, and continuous improvement of medical materiel and allowance-standard processes
  • Attend and participate in technical meetings, working groups, and program reviews as required to represent materiel planning and allowance-standard priorities
  • Assist in the development and refinement of medical materiel policy, procedures, and strategic planning documents
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and forecasting for medical materiel readiness programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Medical Materiel Management field experience with in-depth knowledge of medical equipment, sustainment processes, ILSP development, NSN systems, Item Management systems, medical supply chain functions, acquisition, procurement, MRA, and MMIS
  • Experience working with military teams at a Major Command or Headquarters level.
  • Accredited Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is preferred
