Allstates Consulting Services is looking for a Motive Power Technician to work with our partner in their warehouse in the Dallas, TX area. Below are the requirements and the pay is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

  • Strong understanding of DC electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot forklift batteries, chargers, cables, connectors, and intercell issues
  • Comfortable using multimeters, hydrometers, load testers, and basic shop tools

Attention to Detail

  • Precise when inspecting specific gravity , voltage, water levels, corrosion, and damage
  • Careful with documentation of repairs, warranty work, and testing

Working with industrial batteries means exposure to:

  • Sulfuric acid
  • High-current electrical systems
  • Hydrogen off gassing during charge cycles
  • Knows OSHA and shop safety basics
  • Can diagnose:
    • Cells dropping voltage
    • Bad intercell connectors
    • Charger errors

Physical Capability

  • Able to lift heavy components
  • Comfortable bending, moving batteries, and maneuvering in tight spaces
  • Can work around large equipment safely

Willingness to Learn

Motive power equipment

  • Open to OEM training, certifications, and procedural updates
  • Experience with lead-acid, AGM, or lithium motive batteries
  • Understanding of charging strategies (conventional, fast charge, opportunity charge)
  • Basic computer literacy (for charger programming or entering work orders)
