ABOUT THE ROLE

F&M is seeking a seasoned Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) to join the F&M Trust mortgage team. If you have a proven history of originating residential mortgages within the Greater Capital Region footprint, and you want to join a true community bank where world class customer service is the driving force, we encourage you to continue reading.

You bring a strong commitment to serving your mortgage customers and a demonstrated ability to build your own pipeline through self-sourced relationships. In return, we offer the following:

You may select a salary plus commission model or a full commission model with a repayable draw. Both options offer strong earning potential and support high producing mortgage loan officers.

We are looking for an individual who is energized by developing strong external referral relationships. You actively cultivate business through realtors, home builders, community partners, and other centers of influence, and you do not rely on internal referrals to drive your production. You will spend time building relationships with the branches assigned to you so you can establish trust, become a familiar resource for their teams, and receive referrals that complement your self-sourced pipeline.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Track record of originating home purchase loans
• Passion for helping borrowers realize their dreams of homeownership
• Previous experience with personal computers and office equipment; Encompass experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to independently generate mortgage business through self-sourced leads and external relationships
