Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Monitor Technician. You will be responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac waveforms, rhythms, and measurements.
Job Description
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Promptly recognize and report arrhythmias or rhythm changes to the healthcare team.
- Record and document patient vital signs accurately.
- Maintain telemetry equipment functionality and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist nursing staff with patient monitoring needs to ensure high-quality care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1-year acute care experience and at least 2 years total clinical experience.
- Proficient in taking and monitoring vital signs.
- Skilled in watching and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips on telemetry monitors for anomalies.
- Experienced in continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac waveforms, rhythms, and measurements.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- AHA BLS - required
- EKG Certification - required
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 11:00 PM-7:30 AM; Rotating weekends is a requirement, and workers must report as scheduled including holidays.
Pay rate
- $24-$28.00 per hour, based on experience, skills and market factors
