American Workforce Group has partnered with a Wood Product Company , the world’s largest producer of wood fence boards, looking for a Millwright in Shelton, WA!

Description for Millwright:

  • Keep the mill running by fixing breakdowns and maintaining machinery

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines

  • Repair and maintain cylinders, belts, conveyors, chains, motors, and valves

  • Dismantle, move and install machinery and equipment

  • Construct foundations and align machines

  • Perform welding and carpentry as needed

  • Moves machinery and equipment

  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting and conveyors 

  • Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to the foundation or other structures 
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

Details for Millwright:

  • Pay: $25-$30 per hour

  • Schedule: Full-time swing shift (40+ hours), overtime as needed

Requirements for Millwright:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and work order systems

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and blueprints

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and move machinery
