Location: Burgettstown, PA

Work Schedule:

This position operates on a 3-shift rotating schedule, working 8-hour shifts (unless overtime is required). Shifts rotate weekly as follows:

  • Week 1: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (1st Shift)
  • Week 2: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (2nd Shift)
  • Week 3: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (3rd Shift)

Job Summary:

Join our team in Burgettstown, PA, a community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled professional to play a vital role in maintaining the performance and reliability of our manufacturing plant. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on professional who can inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain all mechanical equipment in a fast-paced, industrial setting. This is an hourly, unionized position requiring flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed. Applicants must provide documentation verifying their Millwright status or equivalent skilled trade certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, layout, fabrication, and welding.
  • Assemble, align, and adjust gears, bearings, and shafts with precision.
  • Perform pipe fitting, threading, bending, and installation as needed.
  • Operate power tools and shop equipment such as drill presses, saws, and pipe-threading machines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, and equipment adjustments.
  • Fabricate and weld parts and components for maintenance or repair tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Tools & Equipment Used:

Drill press, power saw, chain fall, burning and welding equipment, portable power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, pipe threading, cutting and bending tools, and more.

Materials Worked With:

Mechanical equipment, repair parts, lubricants, hardware, packing, and various plant materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman Millwright Card/Certificate or equivalent skilled trade credentials required.
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, and machining operations.
  • Willingness to work rotating (swing) shifts and weekends as required.
  • Safety-conscious with strong teamwork and communication skills.
