Join our team in Elmira, NY, a vibrant community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled individual to contribute to our production process. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with potential for growth.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd shift 3:30 pm to midnight (may include Saturdays and overtime).

• Assemble fabricated metal products efficiently to maximize production using MIG welding techniques.
• Operate equipment safely and report any hazards associated with the equipment.
• Produce strong, penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
• Follow required procedures and utilize appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
• Maintain a level of output that minimizes production delays.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Determine and document machine setups for each part as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and sketches.
• Inspect work for all dimensional features as required and ensure quality and quantity of work meet company standards.
• Accurately complete paperwork related to counts, scrap, time, etc., in accordance with company policy.
• Review shop orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements.

A welding test will be included in the interview process. The position is contract-to-direct, with the rate dependent on the weld test results.
