Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Coach to support teacher development and enhance student learning. This role involves providing individualized coaching, facilitating professional development, and implementing research-based instructional strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in effective teaching practices, professional learning facilitation, and collaboration with educators to drive student achievement.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstructional Support & Coaching
- Provide personalized, 1:1 coaching to teachers, aligning support with their goals and instructional needs.
- Model effective, research-based instructional practices that improve student learning outcomes.
- Facilitate professional development sessions to strengthen teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
- Support teachers in designing and implementing differentiated instruction strategies.
- Assist educators in using student assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with teachers, administrators, and instructional teams.
- Work closely with other instructional coaches and district specialists to promote best practices.
- Assist in the development and refinement of curriculum, instructional methods, and assessments.
- Contribute to the achievement of school-wide and district improvement goals.
Professional Development & Continuous Learning
- Stay informed on best practices in education through research, reading, and professional learning.
- Support teachers in aligning instruction with Colorado Academic Content Standards and school curriculum.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among educators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Current or in-progress Colorado Teaching License.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five years of successful K-12 teaching experience.
- Previous coaching or teacher leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Colorado Academic Content Standards.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in instructional strategies and assessment-driven teaching.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for professional development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and foster a supportive coaching environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and reflective teaching practices.
Work Environment
- School-based setting with regular interaction with students, staff, and families.
- Occasional evening meetings and events may be required.
