BGS is seeking a Mid-LevelP-8 Wire Design and Wire Install Design Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida to support the P-8 Modification Program.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Work with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and other Engineering groups) to assess and implement wire design/wire installation changes
+ Create Production Action Requests (PARs) in EWITS as required
+ Ensure that PARs provide all pertinent information for the customer and follow-on commodities
+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in wiring diagrams and between wiring diagrams and functional schematics to ensure design accuracy and functional alignment of the system
+ Diagnose and resolve test failures related to wire routing, signal integrity, or electrical connectivity (e.g., how improper bend radius or incorrect coax routing can cause signal failures)
+ Perform on-aircraft investigations to support troubleshooting of wiring discrepancies, including connector pinouts, harness damage, continuity faults, and configuration mismatches
+ Coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate and implement corrective actions for discovered wiring issues
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
+ 5+ years’ experience with wire design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
+ Active U.S. Security Clearance
+ Experience working with mechanics/shop floor for troubleshooting
+ Experience with P-8 or 737
+ Proven knowledge of various data bus types, bend radius requirements, and fiber
+ Experience in design from initial requirements through final install

Summary pay range: $112,200 - $151,800
