We are seeking a System Center Service Manager Engineer to help shape, support, and enhance a critical Microsoft Service Manager environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience with Microsoft System Center Service Manager and enjoys building service request offerings, improving workflows, supporting automation, and partnering directly with business and IT stakeholders to make internal service delivery more effective.

In this role, you will work closely with leadership, business units, and technical teams to gather requirements, create and manage new request offerings, improve the user experience, and support the broader Service Manager ecosystem. This includes work across System Center Service Manager, System Center Orchestrator, and the Cireson web portal, along with reporting, patching, updates, and ongoing platform support.

If you enjoy being the person who understands how the platform should work, how to improve it, and how to make it more valuable for users and the business, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.

  • Administer, configure, and enhance the Service Manager environment, with a strong focus on creating and improving new requests
  • Build, maintain, and update System Center Orchestrator workflows
  • Support and enhance the Cireson web portal, including software updates, vendor coordination, and JavaScript updates for service request offerings
  • Maintain, patch, and support Service Manager, Orchestrator, and Cireson
  • Develop and maintain reporting on Service Manager usage
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Service Manager-related processes, workflows, and best practices
  • Recommend improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, reporting structure, and overall service delivery
  • Work across technical teams, leadership, users, and vendors to support platform needs and drive improvements
  • Provide some after-hours project and platform support as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a development or engineering role supporting Microsoft System Center Service Manager
  • Strong hands-on understanding of Service Manager services, features, site design, and best practices
  • Experience building, supporting, and improving service request offerings
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical Service Manager solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Cireson web portal for Service Manager
  • Working knowledge of System Center Orchestrator
  • Experience updating or maintaining JavaScript for service request offerings
  • Experience with platform maintenance, patching, and reporting
  • Microsoft Server Administration-related certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of recent related experience

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Opportunity to own and improve a high-value Service Manager environment
  • Direct visibility with IT leadership and business stakeholders
  • Mix of platform engineering, workflow design, service request development, and process improvement
