Our client, a leading organization in the biopharmaceutical industry, is seeking a dedicated Microbiology Technician to join their team. As a Microbiology Technician, you will be an integral part of the Microbiology Department supporting quality assurance and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Microbiology Technician (water and bioburden testing)
Location: Pearl River, NY

What's the Job?
- Perform microbiological testing such as endotoxin, bioburden, water testing, and environmental monitoring on raw materials, excipients, and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Ensure timely analyses of biopharmaceutical products during manufacturing, release testing, and stability monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records of testing results, media, buffers, and reagents, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
- Assist in coordinating testing activities and participate in laboratory investigations and change control processes.
- Review relevant documentation and ensure data integrity principles are upheld in daily laboratory operations.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology.
- 5 to 8+ years of laboratory experience, with at least 2 years in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of microbial test methods and laboratory systems such as LIMS.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment and wear required PPE.
- WATER AND BIOBURDEN TESTING IS A MUST
