QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications Required: Motivated worker with a desire to be a part of a team and willing to communicate with fellow staff. Must have traits and skills pertaining to organization, time management and dependability. Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Minimum 3 years of experience with Mig and Tig welding- preferred (Laser welding, cutting, and cleaning is also a plus). Have experience driving and handling a sit-down forklift. 

Physical and Safety Requirements: 

Can lift and carry up to 100 lbs max.
Can do 200 lb push/pull.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Able to do a 50-lb overhead lift.
Ability to climb in and out of sit-down fork-lift.
Able to swing 8 lb. sledgehammer.
Walking, standing and bending for 8-hours per day. 
Must be able to wear safety equipment including gloves, ear and eye protection.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties Include: 

·         Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific fabricating requirements.

·         Assist welders with job orders

·         Assist machine operators

·         Reset Dies on punch presses and jigs for saws.

·         Maintenance as needed on punch presses, saws, shears, and roll formers.

·         Use a grinding wheel to prepare surfaces needing to be welded.

·         Use of straight, chop, and miter saws for precision cuts needed per specifications.

·         Be able to move parts in and move finished products out of fabricating area.
