Job Description
- Build detailed seasonal buy plans and monthly forecasts at the style-color level, including sales, margin, and inventory.
- Own bottoms-up open-to-buy (OTB) forecasts to guide business decisions and in-season adjustments.
- Present financial plans in seasonal and monthly planning meetings to align stakeholders on sport business goals.
- Partner with Merchandising, Sport Planning, Allocation, Concept Planning, and Marketing teams across the product lifecycle.
- Lead monthly and seasonal inventory planning using advanced analytics and planning systems.
- Analyze weekly business performance versus forecast and identify risks and opportunities with actionable insights.
- Support continuous optimization of business health through data, collaboration, and strategic problem solving.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of retail math and open-to-buy (OTB) management.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- General understanding of retail operations and merchandising workflows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Comfort working in ambiguity with flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills.
- Prior experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Background in financial management or financial planning.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management with higher-level partners.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a merchandise planning role.
