Full-Time & Part-Time Clinicians (Primarily In-Person)

Art of Awareness Mental Health Services – South Portland, Maine

Art of Awareness is seeking Full-Time and Part-time Clinicians to join our collaborative, trauma-informed clinical team. We welcome applications from fully or conditionally licensed LCSWs, LCPCs, and LMFTs who are looking for meaningful, sustainable work in a supportive practice environment.

Why Clinicians Choose Art of Awareness

Art of Awareness provides competitive wages.

We  support clinicians to prioritize self-care and client care versus overwhelming productivity demands. Clinicians are paid for their clinical services and administrative time.

We prioritize:

  • Schedules designed largely around your availability and client need
  • Sustainable caseloads
  • Clinical autonomy
  • Weekly supervision and peer consultation
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Scholarships for continuing education opportunities
  • A culture that values depth over volume

 Role Overview

This position is primarily in person, as many of our clients prefer in person services. However, flexibility is built into the structure:

  • Full-time is considered 20-25 client hours per week
  • Paid administrative time is included
  • Telehealth sessions may be incorporated where appropriate
  • Some meetings and supervision may be attended remotely
  • Scheduling is built collaboratively and thoughtfully

We are especially interested in clinicians open to working with children, adolescents, couples, and families in addition to individual adults. Experience with these populations is preferred but not required; we provide weekly supervision and ongoing training opportunities.

Some evening hours and/or one weekend day may be included based on client needs.

Benefits

  • Health & Dental Insurance Stipend: $300/month ($3,600/year)
  • Paid Time Off: Approximately 4 clinical-hour weeks per year
  • Eligibility for Paid Maine Family Leave
  • Annual Professional Development Stipend: $200
  • Opportunity to apply for significant internal professional development scholarships

  • Weekly group peer consultation
  • Monthly Clinical Trainings
  • A collaborative, relational team culture
  • Additionally, we offer full administrative and billing support. We manage client referral systems, insurance credentialing, and claims so you can focus on clinical work.

  • Attend required meetings and trainings
