Job Type: Travel / Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36

Pay Rate: $900 – $1,100/gross weekly

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join a reputable healthcare facility in Saint Helena, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide both direct and indirect patient care. You will support patients across various age groups using appropriate interventions and assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
• Assist with daily living activities and patient monitoring
• Support the nursing process for assigned patients
• Observe, report, and document changes in patient condition
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
• Assist in de-escalation and behavioral interventions when needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC) – Required
• CPI / TEAM Certification – Required
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 schedule)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric setting
• CNA Certification
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification
• Associate’s Degree or relevant experience
