Mental Health Technician

Position: Mental Health Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85009

Pay: $18/hr.

Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension

Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week | Day and night openings

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise at risk of self-harm or harm to others.

• Conduct continuous visual or video observation and report observations to licensed nursing staff.

• Document patient activity, behavior, and changes accurately and promptly.

• Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the care team.

• Follow instructions and protocols established by nursing and medical leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare, clerical, or patient support role.

• Experience observing patients and reporting findings clearly and accurately.

• Ability to monitor multiple screens or patients simultaneously.
