We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented team member to manage referrals and insurance authorizations while supporting front office operations.
Position Overview:
- This role is critical to ensuring patients receive timely specialty care and that our practice remains compliant with insurance requirements.
- The ideal candidate understands managed care workflows and is comfortable working with HMO plans, IPA groups, and authorizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Referrals & Authorizations:
- Process specialist referrals accurately and efficiently.
- Submit and track prior authorizations (labs, imaging, procedures, DME, etc.).
- Follow up with insurance companies and IPA groups.
- Maintain referral logs and ensure completion.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding referral status.
Front Office Support:
- Schedule appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility.
- Collect copays.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out.
Qualifications:
- 1–2+ years experience in Medical Referral coordination.
- Tech Savvy with EHR.
- Strong knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal workflows.
- Familiarity with prior authorizations.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Compensation: $18-28 per hour depending on experience.
