About the Opportunity
Our patient‑focused healthcare practice is seeking a personable, organized, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our front‑office team. This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and update demographic details.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments using the clinic's EMR system.
- Collect co‑pays and process payments accurately.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and daily office operations.
- Prepare, organize, and manage patient charts and documentation.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, faxing, and email communication.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
- Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (training available if needed).
- Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
