Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking a Medical Receptionist for their healthcare client in Oak Park on a temporary basis.

Hours: 8:30 - 4:30 or 9:00am - 5:00pm
SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a responsible Medical Receptionist to support the doctors and physician assistants' work. As a Medical Receptionist you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Duties of Medical Receptionist
Greets visitors and obtains pertinent information, assuring all clients are guided to the correct individual upon arrival
Provide excellent customer service to all incoming and exiting guests or patients
Answer and route all calls to the appropriate staff member or voicemail
Maintain a log of calls requiring further action
Provide information in response to inquiries in a professional manner
Accurately take and deliver messages
Transfer patients who are cancelling to their treating clinician
Assist Scheduling Coordinators with waitlist management
Facilitate completion of registration paperwork
Collect ID and insurance cards from new patients
Data entry into EHR and Scheduling software
Performs routine clerical tasks
Maintains clean and orderly reception area
Provide clerical support to clinical staff
Ability to work within mental health, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or other patient populations
Participates in TJC accreditation activities as related to the position.
Complies with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
Adheres to company philosophy of care, mission, values, and corporate culture.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Receptionist
Proven working experience as a medical Receptionist preferred
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Proficiency in MS Word and a EHR system ( Advanced MD, Referral MD)
Associates degree, preferred, not required.
