MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST:

Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic and motivated. Must be outgoing, friendly and willing to converse with patients on a regular basis, hard-working with the ability to multi-task. Able to supervise and take supervision. Organizational skills, ability to read and write legibly, ability to use computer required. Willingness and eagerness for continual education. Forward-thinking and willingness to participate as a team member for the advancement of the practice.Responsibility
Key Responsibility - Manage the process of new patient integration, scheduling procedures, and being liaison between patient, practitioners and insurance carriers. Manage incoming phone calls. Check emails and phone messages.
Ancillary ResponsibilitiesProcess faxes
Answer and direct phone calls
Billing- act as liaison between practice and billing dept
Scheduling appointments
Processing copays and payments
Process medical records requests
Manage new patient log and requirements for practice admission
Process insurance and pre-auth
Obtain referrals for OV
Obtain approvals for office visits and procedures for applicable patients
Filing medical records and charts
Other duties as needed
Physical Demands
Work will require sitting for prolonged periods of time, intermittent walking/bending/stooping/etc. as well as frequent computer use, moderate file/chart lifting. Manual dexterity to operate phone and other standard office equipment. Vision and hearing correctable to normal range for telephone and direct patient contact
Looking for at least 1 year commitment – preference given to long-term applicant
Starting Pay: $15-17/hr
Position Type: Regular - F/T or Part-time, F/T preferred
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (hours need to be flexible, as some days extend)
