• Interest In: Small-animal general practice medicine including wellness exams, preventative care, diagnostics, dental services, soft tissue and advanced surgery, urgent care presentations, pain management, internal medicine, client education, and continuity of care across all life stages. Raymore Veterinary Center also supports exotic and non-traditional companion animal care , offering opportunities for doctors who are interested in diversified medicine and expanding their scope beyond dogs and cats.

• Medical Lead / Experienced Veterinarian: We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to step into a Medical Lead role, a predominantly clinical position with focused leadership responsibilities. This role is ideal for a confident clinician who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while guiding medical standards, consistency, and clinical direction across the hospital.

• Supportive, Experienced Technical & Clinical Team: Join a team committed to excellent patient care, strong client communication, and technical excellence. Support staff collaborate closely with doctors in anesthesia, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, treatments, and workflow efficiency, allowing the Medical Lead to focus on medicine and clinical leadership.

• Layout Specifics: Full-service veterinary facility featuring multiple exam rooms, surgical and dental suites, in-house diagnostics and imaging, treatment areas, and workflows designed to support efficient, compassionate care. The hospital’s layout supports both comprehensive general practice and leadership in medical quality and standards.

• Collaborative Leadership Environment: The Medical Lead partners with hospital leadership and the doctor team to guide clinical protocols, promote best practices, and elevate quality of care. This role provides a strong voice in medical direction and standards without being operationally or administratively burdened , allowing you to focus on medicine and leadership.

• Patient Mix: A diverse caseload including dogs, cats, and exotic species , with opportunities to practice broad-scope medicine, support urgent care presentations, and contribute to advanced and complex case management depending on interest and expertise.

Who We're Looking For

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • A valid state license and in good standing to practice.
