Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Morristown, NJ
Duration: 13 weeks contract (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: 12am to 8am (5*8) hours shift, weekends and holidays as needed.
Department: Microbiology
Payrate: $43/hour
**Non-Taxable Per Diem is also provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility**
Job Summary:
- Perform lab testing in the Core Lab, and report results according to SOP.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analysers and equipment.
- Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP.
- Maintain and manage laboratory supplies.
- Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team.
Education:
- Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology Associates degree - required
- BS degree is Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology – preferred.
Requirements:
- Strong preference for MLSs with Total Lab Automation experience
- ASCP or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist certification required.
