Medical Laboratory Scientist Highlights
- The pay for this position is $40-$45 per hour
- Schedule: 3pm-11pm (department operates 24/7)
Medical Laboratory Scientist Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in the Core Lab and report results according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
- Conduct quality control testing and maintain accurate laboratory documentation
- Manage laboratory inventory and supplies
- Provide laboratory data and results to healthcare providers and patient care teams
Requirements
- Associate???s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP (or equivalent) Medical Laboratory Scientist certification
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor???s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- Previous laboratory experience (new graduates welcome)
- Experience with Total Lab Automation systems
