Medical Billing Specialist

A confidential healthcare billing organization is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist. This role is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring exceptional accuracy, claim resolution skills, and a thorough understanding of insurance processes and coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Work aged accounts, verify insurance benefits, and resolve outstanding claims
  

• Review, correct, and resubmit denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement
  

• Manage unpaid patient balances and follow medical collection best practices
  

• Apply accurate ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures
  

• Process daily medical billing for services rendered by providers
  

• Handle refund requests and maintain compliance with billing and coding regulations
  

• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure complete and accurate billing data
  

• Confirm insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed
  

Required Qualifications

• Proven success in claim resolution and follow-up
  

• MediClear Certification or equivalent HIPAA/privacy certification 
  

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and medical billing procedures
  

• Familiarity with medical terminology, coding guidelines, and collection processes
  

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and meet quotas
  

• EPIC experience preferred but not required
