Our client is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their finance team following a planned retirement. This is a stable, long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed billing work and supporting day-to-day financial operations in a structured healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do as the Medical Billing Specialist

• Process and post medical billing transactions, including patient invoices, payments, and insurance reimbursements

• The Medical Billing Specialist will track accounts receivable, follow up on past-due balances, and ensure accurate billing for patients and insurance providers

• Assist with coding medical claims and entering data into the billing system

• Generate routine billing and financial reports for management review

• The Medical Billing Specialist will support audits, insurance claim research, and spreadsheet data entry

• Maintain accurate billing files and assist with cross-training within the finance team

What We’re Looking For in a Medical Billing Specialist

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Prior experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare finance

• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance billing and reimbursements is a plus

• Experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or similar billing/accounting software is preferred

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle confidential patient information

• Required background clearances must be obtained
