Our client is an established, multi-specialty primary care medical group with a long-standing tenure, located in the city of Thousand Oaks, offering general practice. We are searching for a bright and diligent Medical Biller to join our client’s office.
- Pay: 25 per hour
- Location: Thousand Oaks, CA.
- Status: Temp to Hire
As the Medical Biller, you will be responsible for supporting the daily billing and insurance follow-up activities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Verifying patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
- Reviewing and correcting claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
- Following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or delayed claims
- Posting insurance and patient payments accurately
- Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies and coding issues
- Communicating with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment arrangements
- Maintaining accurate patient and billing records in the practice management system
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and company policies
- Collaborating with front office, coding, and clinical teams to resolve billing issues
