Position: Medical Assistant I
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Clinic Hours
Pay: $18/hr.
Contract to hire opportunity
System One is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support a well-established specialty clinic in Tulsa. This position works closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide direct patient care while ensuring efficient clinic flow in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Escort patients to exam and treatment rooms
Record vital signs, height/weight, allergies, and medical updates
Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures
Perform EKGs and administer subcutaneous & intramuscular injections
Prepare and disinfect exam/treatment rooms
Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
Obtain authorizations and verify patient records
Triage patient calls and communicate with providers as needed
Support medication refill requests and documentation in EMR
Assist with patient education materials
Maintain accurate and consistent electronic documentation
Cross-train and mentor new staff as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience in clinic or hospital setting
Current CPR certification required
Medical Assistant Certification preferred (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
Experience with injections, EKGs, and assisting with in-office procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment
