We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and patient-focused Urology Medical Assistant to join our busy urology team. This hybrid role combines front-line clinical support as a Medical Assistant with specialized coordination of surgical procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is experienced (or eager to learn) in urology-specific processes, including surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, and assisting with in-office procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred; certification must be current.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially urology-specific terms (e.g., TURP, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, ESWL, prostatectomy).
- Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and surgery scheduling software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication; comfortable speaking with patients, physicians, hospitals, and insurance companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
- Ability to maintain composure in a high-volume, sometimes stressful environment.
