Job Summary: Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinic RN. Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patients' charts, Able to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
What You'll Do:
- Prepares patient to be seen by the physician
- Measures vital signs including, but not limited to; height, weight, pulse, resp, blood pressure, and urine and blood glucose checks.
- Performs Vision Test, Audiometer Test, HgB AIC, Lead Test and Capillary Glucose as instructed.
- Knowledge of the EMR and their functions
- Documents patient history, current medications, labs in the electronic medical record (EMR) and pertinent information.
- Maintains clean examination and treatment areas
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment
- Maintains daily logs
- Selects correct medication and syringe, draws up meds and administers injection accurately and safely (subcutaneous)

- Performs Venipuncture and process specimens accurately
- Demonstrates proper phone etiquette, identifies oneself properly. Is polite, helpful and professional.
- Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:
- Must have a high school diploma and medical assistant certification in good standing.
- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of geriatrics.
- At least one year experience with geriatrics preferred.
