Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Fridays | 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $12-$15/hour DOE
Position Summary
A local medical office in Nederland is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support daily patient care and office operations. This is a direct hire position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient workups including vitals and prescreens
- Prepare exam rooms and room patients
- Assist the doctor during exams or in-office procedures
- Administer injections and mix/prepare medications
- Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests
- Provide office support: calling in prescriptions, referrals, results, and patient follow-up calls
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Medical Assistant experience or current Medical Assistant certificate with 1 year of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
- Ability to build strong patient relationships and be reliable
