We currently have an opening for a Temporary Medical Assistant. Experience in Internal Medicine preferred.
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $23-24 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Duties:
This Temporary Medical Assistant supports efficient clinic operations by preparing and escorting patients to exam rooms while maintaining a professional and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include accurately obtaining and documenting detailed medical histories and vital signs, as well as collecting, labeling, and processing specimens in accordance with established clinical guidelines. The role involves safely administering injections, performing venipuncture, and assisting providers during examinations and in-office procedures. In addition, this position provides front office coverage as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting patient payments. This role requires strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and a willingness to perform additional duties as needed to support overall clinical workflow.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant who is certified (MA) and CPR certified, with a minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience. The ideal candidate is bilingual, allowing for effective communication with our diverse patient population. Experience in an internal medicine setting is strongly preferred, as this role requires familiarity with chronic disease management, adult patient care, and fast-paced clinical workflows. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
