Loudoun Endocrinology Associates PLLC

We are an Endocrinology practice located in the Landsdowne area
of Leesburg, VA looking for a dedicated and reliable part time
medical assistant to join our team.


Please apply if you are looking for at least 1 year of employment or more (this is not a seasonal position).

This is also an excellent opportunity for gap year/post baccalaureate students to gain hands on medical practice clinical
and administrative experience.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Taking vitals, obtaining point of care hemoglobin A1c
testing and rooming patients and entering information in
EMR

• Restocks medical supplies within clinic and notifying practice if supplies need to be ordered/restocked
• Reviewing and sending prescription refill requests
• Processing prior authorizations for both medications and
medical equipment
• Some knowledge of medicine, prescriptions, dosages, etc is
helpful but not required.
• Submitting medical equipment and medication authorization forms
• Answering clinical phone line and take accurate clinical
messages within the limits of knowledge and practice
policy. May answer patient’s inquiries with respect to
medical questions as directed by physician
• Notify physician of any patient related questions
• Obtain medical records as needed from other medical
offices
• Cross-training to answer phones and schedule patient visits using an EMR
• Ensuring new patient forms are completed and new patient
information is entered into EMR prior to patients’
appointment

Maintain patient and employer confidentiality in a remote
and in office setting
• Detail Oriented – High attention to the multiple and minor
details of a project is very important.

Expected hours: Up to 20-29.9 hours weekly
