Medical Assistant / EMT PART TIME

Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely mannerAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedureDraw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructionsRespond to all lab messages and call back requestsPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulationsEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedurePrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for proceduresMaintain complete and accurate documentation
- AMT-registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants OR EMT Certification are required. Two years of experience is preferred.
American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. Each location is equipped with an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability.
The pay range for this role is:
21 - 25 USD per hour(chelmsford)
