Medical Assistant

Position Summary:

Medical Assistant processes patient information facilitating communication between nurses, physicians and their staff, ancillary services, and all patients. Provides care to patients under the direction of a physician or registered nurse.

Minimum Qualifications Education

1. High School diploma or equivalent required.

2. Medical assistance training required.

3. RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification preferred.

Experience

Prior health care experience is a plus. Preferably 1 or 2 years in clinical/hospital setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records required.

2. Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills. Exhibits calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions.

3. High level of ethics in maintaining patient confidentiality.

4. Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously.

5. Deal with and/or solves stressful situations

6. Communicates with patients, physicians, and other staff in verbal and written form

7. Provides safe and effective nursing care.

8. Maintains professional composure under stress as in emergency situations

This position offers a 4-day work week schedule to support work–life balance while maintaining full-time benefits.
