Pay Range: $20 - $22/hr
Shift Timings: 9am - 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical, technical, service, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure patient care delivery aligns with the company's philosophy.
- Perform EKGs, lab testing, PFT, and audiometry as ordered by the physician.
- Admit patients to exam rooms and take vital signs, medical, medication, and allergy histories.
- Perform quality controls and adhere to laboratory procedures as required by CLIA regulations.
- Complete and forward patient referrals appropriately.
- Document treatments, telephone contact with patients, lab accession logs, and outside medical testing logs.
- Conduct daily checks on equipment like oxygen and emergency boxes.
- Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain examination rooms and medical areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Stock examination rooms with supplies and check supplies from vendors.
- Register and transact patients promptly and accurately using the current computer system.
- Update patient information, including medical insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Schedule patient appointments and retrieve and file medical reports/lab results.
- Maintain patient waiting room and front desk area.
- Process HMO referrals as requested by physicians, practice management, and patients.
- Communicate patient emergencies to physicians.
- Answer telephones, take messages, and ensure follow-up on all calls.
- Balance ledger sheets and account for all monies received.
- Provide patient instructions upon discharge and notify patients of test results via telephone.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- BLS certification.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved school or two years of experience working as a medical assistant.

- Knowledge of computer data entry.
