What You'll Do

As a valued member of our healthcare team, you'll balance clinical excellence with compassionate service. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Welcome and room patients, obtaining and accurately documenting medical histories, symptoms, and vital information

  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and patients for provider visits, examinations, and procedures

  • Assist Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Nursing staff during exams and treatments

  • Perform vision and hearing screenings, venipuncture, capillary sticks, specimen collection, and routine lab testing

  • Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests under appropriate supervision

  • Dispense medications as directed by providers and support medication refill processes

  • Notify patients of lab and test results as directed by providers

  • Provide patient education, instructions, referrals, and routine screenings to promote wellness and follow-up care

Administrative & Team Support

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies

  • Assist with scheduling, incoming calls, front desk coverage, and patient flow coordination

  • Track medications received from pharmaceutical companies and maintain required logs

  • Enter data for clinic reporting using shared drives and electronic systems

  • Stock exam rooms, clinic supplies, and medications, and communicate supply needs

  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, efficient, and respectful work environment

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant Program (preferred)

  • CMA or equivalent healthcare credential or relevant experience

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Certification

  • A team-oriented mindset and a passion for serving diverse populations

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

  • A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical care

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, reach, and use hands for tools and equipment. Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is generally quiet.
