Description:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for examinations
- Recording and documenting patient medical history, symptoms, and vital signs accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Performing senior care testing as directed
- Assisting with medication refills and prescription-related tasks
- Completing and processing referrals
- Performing lab duties, including blood draws and specimen collection
- Administering injections per provider orders
- Answering and returning patient phone calls in a timely, professional manner
- Assisting providers during examinations and procedures as needed
- Ensuring exam rooms are stocked, clean, and properly prepared
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) certification required
- Proven experience with vital signs, injections, lab draws, and clinical documentation
