Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant 2 (MA2) performs medical or technical procedures within a Medical Assistant's scope of practice and under direction of the physician(s), assists the medical staff and physician(s) in providing clinical and administrative support throughout the medical office, and provides guidance/mentorship to the practice's other Medical Assistants.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

  • Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirement for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required

Experience

  • 1 year of healthcare clerical/administrative support experience required

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
