Hands-on Java full stack development experience
Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and databases
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Medicaid/MMIS Technical Manager with strong Java full stack expertise to lead development and delivery of scalable healthcare solutions.
- Lead design and development of Medicaid applications (claims, eligibility, enrollment)
- Provide technical leadership and mentor development teams
- Lead architecture, design and development using Java full stack technologies (Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, REST APIs)
- Drive hands-on development when needed, especially in critical components and solution design
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, CMS)
- Collaborate with business and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex issues
- Lead Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and implement best practices
- Ensure application scalability, security, and high availability
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of modern/AI technologies
Requirements
- 8–12 years of IT experience with technical leadership background
- Strong Medicaid/MMIS domain experience (MMIS preferred)
- Hands-on Java full stack development experience
- Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and databases
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
