JOB REQUIREMENTS: Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL
facility. This job is HYBRID. FTE: 1.000000 Shift: 1st shift between 8
am and 5 pm with an on-call rotation every 7-8 weeks Job Summary: The
Senior Media Relations Specialist is a key member of the Media relations
team, responsible for developing external communications strategy for
initiatives for the Froedtert & MCW health network, subsidiaries and
affiliates. The Senior Media Relations Specialist has primary and
secondary responsibility for communications coverage related to the
health system, affiliates, subsidiaries, as well as working with key
service, program and business line executives, physicians and staff on
broader external communications initiatives. Includes responsibility for
serving as 24/7 primary external and internal communications contact on
a rotating basis averaging between 10 to 12 weeks per year. Other duties
as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Minimum of five years experience in
media relations, public relations or communications is required.
Demonstrates progressive evolution of skills through changing job
positions. Health care, financial services, or other large matrixed
public relations experience is preferred, including crisis
communications. Experience using social media in a media relations
environment is a plus. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor's degree in
Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field is
required. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Demonstrates solid strategic
thinking and execution of strategy. Strong written and verbal
communication skills, including serving as a spokesperson for the
organization. Ability to develop, grow and manage client relationships.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Perks & Benefits at
