Litigation Paralegal – Insurance Defense / Medical Malpractice

A well-established, high-performing litigation team is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in insurance defense and medical malpractice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases while supporting attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage case files and support attorneys through all phases of litigation
- Obtain, review, and organize client documents, including electronic data and records
- Prepare and manage document production, including bates labeling and redactions
- Summarize medical records and bills; prepare medical chronologies and case summaries
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, subpoenas, and evidentiary materials
- Conduct legal and background research using online and internal resources
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, including selection, communication, and file review
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and third parties
- Review and process vendor invoices and support case-related administrative functions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with insurance defense required
- Medical malpractice experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, document production, and trial preparation
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; relevant certifications a plus
